Overview

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for generating sales revenue within a specific geographic region while being a product expert on all product lines and maintaining a customer pipeline.

In Short

  • Generate leads through daily sales activity.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction with existing customers while generating new business.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Solutions team for clinical evaluations and new customer installations.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Demonstrate company products to potential customers.
  • Travel at least 75% of the time with frequent overnight stays.
  • Live within the geographic region and near a major airport.
  • 3-5 years of experience in capital sales required.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal skills needed.
  • Must be extremely organized and able to manage multiple responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • 3-5 years of capital sales experience with documented success.
  • Complete understanding of Operating Room protocols.
  • Confidence to communicate with established physicians and surgical personnel.
  • Strong coaching and consulting skills.
  • Ability to identify and articulate concerns and develop realistic recommendations.
  • Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.
  • Highly developed analytical/problem-solving skills.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • Ability to integrate multiple resources for solutions.
