Senior Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

As the Senior Software Engineer for Scout Motor’s digital products, you will play a key role in the development and enhancement of our software products, from concept to deployment. Some of the key products as part of digital portfolio are – mobile and desktop applications, vehicle connectivity solutions, mapping services, production, inventory and planning optimization, servicing and repairs, and more. You will work with engineering managers, staff engineers, and cross-functional partners to design the technical underpinnings of the product. At the same time, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to be hands-on building key systems and will be directly responsible for the successful delivery of complex and large-scale technical efforts as well acting as a technical mentor and leader for other engineers.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years in software development and experience with scaling software products.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• 5+ years with JavaScript frameworks (React.js, Angular, Vue.js).
• 5+ years building responsive web designs using CSS frameworks.
• Understanding of GraphQL, RESTful, and RPC principles.
• Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities in web applications.
• Experience in start-up settings and launching products.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
