In Short

• Lead a team of 1 Senior Payroll & Benefits specialist and offer any required support in day-to-day functions
• Oversee CAD payroll of two pay groups with headcount of approx. 785 total
• Review all payroll and benefits related submissions to ensure accuracy
• Audit all payroll and benefits related systems regularly
• Run various reports regularly and ad hoc for multiple departments
• Work closely with both finance and HR for admin of various payments
• Ensure the organization’s compliance with ongoing taxation and reporting changes
• Liaise with 3rd party providers regarding any changes or issues
• Support all internal and external audits related to payroll
• Provide high quality Employee service by ensuring timely resolutions of any inquiries

Requirements

• Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) is required.
• Outstanding organizational skills and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented and able to work on multiple projects at once
• Aptitude for problem solving and ability to troubleshoot through issues
• Ability to work collaboratively with various other departments and team members
• Ability to adhere to date-driven timelines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to adapt to changes in policy and system updates
• High degree of integrity, discretion, strong work ethic and confidentiality
