Accounts Payable Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for the processing of invoices and expense reports; must be detail-oriented who works toward improving processes and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

• Requires twice a month office presence in NYC.
• Data entry of invoices and vendor information.
• Oversee and train staff on Accounts Payable processes.
• Audit invoices and expense reports for accuracy.
• Assist with month-end closing and accruals.
• Reconcile accounts payable aging and general ledger.
• Make payments for vendor invoices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration.
• Three years of experience in an accounting department.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Accounts Payable software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Good organization and analytical skills.
• Shows initiative to improve processes.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Knowledge of HIPAA & OSHA compliance.
