Overview

As a Coding Specialist III at Savista, you will review documentation to code diagnoses and procedures for inpatient hospital-based claims, ensuring quality clinical care and optimal financial results for healthcare organizations.

In Short

• Maintain up to two concurrent client assignments.
• Review clinical documentation to code diagnoses and procedures.
• Validate MS-DRG and APC calculations.
• Mitigate coding-related claims scrubber edits.
• Participate in client and Savista meetings.
• Maintain current knowledge of coding conventions.
• Achieve a consistent quality level of 95% or greater.
• Work on short-term assignments.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential.
• One year of relevant coding experience.
• Passing score of 80% on pre-employment tests.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding.
• Ability to work with clinical data.
