The Coder for Provider Practice in Cardiovascular Diagnostics at Sanford Health will be responsible for coding various cardiovascular diagnostic tests, ensuring accurate documentation, and collaborating with medical professionals.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Health Information Technology or Certification in Coding required.
• Specific knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding schemes.
• Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or similar certification preferred.
• Ability to analyze and abstract medical data/documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivation.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills with healthcare providers.
• Must be certified within one year of hire if not already certified.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy/physiology preferred.
• Experience with Medicare and commercial carrier workflows is a plus.
