Advanced Practice Provider, Primary Care - Remote

Overview

The Advanced Practice Providers at Allegheny Health Network are an integral part of the care delivery system working together to provide a healing environment, by placing our customers first. The APP provides primary or acute healthcare services for acute or chronic health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. There will be travel involved between our Vandergrift and Natrona Heights office.

In Short

• Perform complete, detailed and accurate histories and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret laboratory, radiological and diagnostic studies.
• Make medical diagnoses and institute appropriate therapy.
• Provide instructions and guidance regarding medical care to patients.
• Document pertinent information in EMR and communicate with attending physician.
• Perform hospital rounds and document patient progress notes.
• Institute emergency measures in acute situations.
• Maintain compliance with medical staff office and organizational mission.
• Participate in medical education and patient safety processes.
• Maintain professional practice and continuing education.

Requirements

• Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited program or approved Master's/Post Master's program.
• Current Pennsylvania Physician Assistant License or CRNP license.
• National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• 1-3 years department specific experience preferred.
• ACLS certification and DEA license preferred.
