Overview

The Professional, General Accounting position at Samsung Austin Semiconductor involves managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual book closing processes, along with various accounting responsibilities including GL reconciliations and financial reporting.

In Short

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual book closing processes.
• Perform periodic GL reconciliations and analyze expense fluctuations.
• Respond to and report on internal/external audits.
• Prepare financial statements and footnote disclosures.
• Oversee semi-annual physical inventory for HQ.
• Collaborate with various departments including Purchasing, Logistics, and HR.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
• Accounting expertise related to hedging, leases, and inventory.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to resolve issues quickly and take initiative.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus.
