• Lead the architecture and design of our database systems, focusing on performance optimization and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.
• Implement best practices for data modeling, indexing, and query optimization.
• Design and implement data migration strategies.
• Proactively monitor database health and performance.
• Drive the adoption of cloud-based database solutions, particularly Microsoft Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Research and evaluate new database technologies and tools.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior database administrators and developers.
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a database architect.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Strong expertise in SQL Server and T-SQL programming.
• Experience with other database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proven track record of implementing best practices for data modeling and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with data migration tools and strategies.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Strong communication skills.
