Overview

This role involves assisting in the planning, design, development, and testing of the Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) phases for the data warehousing activities within the Justice Information Management System (JIMS) 3.0 project.

In Short

• Work on a data integration project for the Justice Information Management System.
• Assist in planning, design, development, and testing of ETL processes.
• Focus on data profiling and analysis to improve data governance.
• Collaborate with Senior Data Architects and other developers.
• Develop and test ETL processes and queries.
• Review existing data marts and perform detailed data profiling.
• Maintain technical documentation for application development.
• Handle and fix production defects efficiently.
• Ensure solutions meet current and strategic ministry needs.
• Participate in full product implementation into production.

Requirements

• Experience in data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Strong understanding of data models and design specifications.
• Proficient in SQL and data architecture concepts.
• Ability to analyze and create mapping specifications.
• Experience with IBM Cognos BI is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with business units.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience in application development and maintenance.
• Ability to deliver quality code and pass code reviews.
