Application Developer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and open-minded Application Developer for our client in the insurance industry.

In Short

• Develop and maintain software applications based on business and operational requirements.
• Analyze business processes, data, and functions.
• Define functional and non-functional system requirements.
• Create models for data, functions, and/or objects.
• Select appropriate methods, techniques, standards, and tools for software development.
• Develop and maintain software applications, components, modules, and interfaces.
• Ensure implementation and maintenance of software.
• Set up and maintain development and test environments.
• Assist in implementing and testing software applications.
• Document models, interface descriptions, testing procedures, user manuals, etc.
• Analyze and resolve software defects in production applications.
• Implement change requests.
• Design and realize software improvements throughout the application lifecycle.

Requirements

• 9 years of experience in application development, preferably in the insurance industry.
• Proven experience in programming with Java and Angular.
• ETL development: DWH, SQL, PL/SQL.
• Unix systems: Linux, SAS.
• Mainframe: z/OS, COBOL.
• Fluent in German.
