Mapping & Localization Engineer - Remote

Overview

RYZ Labs is looking for a Mapping & Localization Engineer to join one of our client’s teams. They are developing autonomous robots for last-mile-services, revolutionizing urban logistics with efficient, sustainable deliveries. The company is a leader in robotics and automation, transforming the way goods are delivered in urban environments.

In Short

• Design and implement core pieces of the next generation mapping and localization engine.
• Contribute to a mapping system that scales to city-size environments while preserving high resolution geometry.
• Collaborate to improve map annotation tooling and data consumption by neural networks.
• Contribute to flexible location estimation fusing relative and absolute measurements.
• Work closely with autonomy team members to maximize utility provided by mapping and localization.
• Ship production quality code and participate in code reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics focused in localization and mapping and 2+ years of industry experience.
• Experience building SLAM systems in production.
• Strong C++ programming skills.
• Experience designing and building scalable systems.
• Strong verbal and writing communication skills.
