Overview

RYZ Labs is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join one of our client’s teams, developing autonomous robots for last-mile services and revolutionizing urban logistics.

In Short

• Oversee development of scalable systems for Delivery Management and Fleet Management platforms.
• Spend 75% of time coding, designing, and reviewing Elixir code.
• Provide leadership and direction to a small engineering team.
• Design and maintain distributed systems focusing on scalability and performance.
• Mentor engineers and establish best practices.
• Own the Delivery and Fleet Management platforms.
• Identify bottlenecks and optimize systems for increased traffic.
• Collaborate with product managers and operations teams.
• Champion code quality and continuous integration.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Elixir or Erlang.
• Strong background in building large-scale, distributed systems.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience managing small, agile engineering teams.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable spending 75% of time coding and reviewing code.
• Passion for building maintainable software.
