Senior Legal Counsel - Remote

Overview

The RWS Legal and Professional Advisory team is highly collaborative, collegial, and international and dedicated to providing the business with proactive, pragmatic, and timely legal advice. We are seeking a creative, agile, and diligent attorney with strong communication and negotiation skills to join the RWS Legal Department as Senior Legal Counsel.

In Short

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements worldwide.
• Provide timely and strategic legal advice to management and cross-functional groups.
• Shepherd deals through the sales cycle and internal approval processes.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
• Monitor laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Develop policies and procedures to minimize risk.
• Collaborate with external counsel as required.
• Provide legal guidance on US federal and state laws.
• Contribute to the improvement of standard agreements and internal documents.
• Work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from a nationally accredited law school.
• At least 5 years of in-house or law firm experience.
• Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills.
• Expertise in domestic and international business law.
• Familiarity with GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, and other privacy laws.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks across various legal areas.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
