Payroll Manager - Maternity Contract - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Manager to join our team on a maternity contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the payroll function, ensuring the accurate and timely payment of salaries in accordance with government legislation and organisational timetables.

In Short

• Manage the payroll function for 9 monthly UK payrolls.
• Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries.
• Responsible for month end reporting and year end procedures.
• Handle HMRC submissions and payroll disputes.
• Lead and mentor the payroll coordinator.
• Own the process for bonus and pay review adjustments.
• Detail-oriented with strong payroll management background.
• Work under the Assistant Group Financial Controller.
• Experience with Sage 50 payroll is preferred.
• CIPP Qualification is preferred or relevant experience.

• CIPP Qualification (preferred) or relevant experience.
• Experience of working with Sage 50 payroll.
• In-depth knowledge & experience of payroll calculation and processing.
• Personable and approachable individual.
• Confidently manage payroll discrepancies.
• Provide mentor style leadership to the payroll coordinator.
