Backend Engineer - Core Team - Remote

Overview

The Backend Engineer will be part of the Core team within the Merchant Platform group, focusing on developing and maintaining the core services and flagship products for fraud prevention and abuse protection.

In Short

• Design and develop a highly reliable, available, and scalable architecture for core services.
• Deploy code to production daily using advanced CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain production systems to ensure smooth operation.
• Work with large volumes of data using stream processing and ETLs.
• Participate in planning the team roadmap and products.
• Collaborate with other engineering and product teams on cross-department projects.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in server-side coding.
• Passion for writing clean, high-quality code.
• Independent self-learner and strong team player.
• Hands-on experience in Scala/Java is an advantage.
• Experience in high-throughput and low-latency systems is a plus.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent certifications is a plus.
