The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer at Results for Development (R4D) will manage MEL systems for innovation programmes, focusing on integrating gender equality and social inclusion principles.

In Short

  • Lead and manage MEL components of Innovation team projects.
  • Provide technical guidance on best practices for monitoring innovation projects.
  • Develop programme theories of change and MEL frameworks.
  • Integrate GEDSI principles within MEL systems.
  • Facilitate learning and iteration based on MEL findings.
  • Conduct research initiatives for learning and insights.
  • Establish learning networks for sharing insights about innovation.
  • Deliver presentations and reports to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Identify business development opportunities.

Requirements

  • MA + 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience implementing MEL systems for complex programmes.
  • Experience integrating GEDSI considerations into MEL systems.
  • Strong understanding of innovation methods.
  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of statistical software like SPSS, STATA.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.
  • Flexibility to work across R4D’s disciplines.
  • Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
