Network and Systems Administrator - Remote

We are looking for a motivated Network & Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. This role is ideal for someone with 1-5 years of experience in setting up and maintaining both cloud and on-premise networks and VPNs. The successful candidate will also have a foundational understanding of Linux systems administration and security patching. As part of the role, you will interact directly with customers and engineers, collaborating with their network and security teams to resolve issues and implement solutions.

In Short

• Assist in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting cloud and on-premise network infrastructures, including VPNs.
• Monitor and ensure the stability and performance of network connections and services.
• Communicate directly with customers to understand their network and system needs.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and security protocols.
• Perform routine administrative tasks on Linux systems, including updates and backups.
• Assist in applying patches and updates to ensure systems are secure.
• Collaborate with customer network and security teams.
• Provide regular updates and status reports to internal teams and customers.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for supporting customer VPNs.
• Stay informed about the latest security threats.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in network administration or related fields.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Familiarity with VPN technologies and configurations.
• Basic Linux system administration experience.
• Understanding of security best practices and patch management processes.
• Comfortable interacting with customers, both technical and non-technical.
• Ability to troubleshoot network and system issues.
• Experience with network monitoring and security tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of firewall configurations and other network security technologies.
• Modern DevOps practices and Kubernetes Administration are bonus skills.
