Director, Public Affairs - Remote

Overview

As Rescale’s Director of Public Affairs, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the government relations & communications strategy with the legislative and executive branches.

In Short

• Lead government relations efforts and create a comprehensive strategy.
• Support planning and implementing appropriations and authorization strategies.
• Develop coordinated approaches to new business opportunities.
• Engage with key stakeholders including Members of Congress.
• Communicate company value and enhance strategic positioning.
• Draft congressional engagement materials.
• Monitor and analyze congressional policymaking processes.
• Collaborate across functions at Rescale.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in government relations or federal service.
• Understanding of U.S. federal authorization and appropriations processes.
• Ability to build coalitions and maintain relationships with officials.
• Experience with policy and budget issues for defense and civilian agencies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with resilience to build out the function.
• Ability to collaborate across functions.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Willingness to register as a federal lobbyist.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.
