Project Controls Manager I - Remote

Overview

The Project Controls Manager I drives successful project delivery, supporting solar, energy storage, wind, transmission, and distribution. This position collaborates closely with the Construction Project Management team to ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, and budget.

In Short

• Manages the Cost Control Process and supports Estimating during budget setup.
• Develops and contains project cost reports.
• Forecasts and analyzes trends, develops estimates to complete costs.
• Provides Cost Variance Analyses and Earned Value Analysis.
• Utilizes Cash Flow Models and supports Change Management.
• Administers contracts and resolves issues with contracts and subcontracts.
• Supports Project Manager with reporting process and data collection.
• Understands the impacts of Scheduling on the cost control process.
• Operates company-aligned vehicle for site visits and business trips.
• Complies with Employee Handbook and Company Policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or related field.
• 3 or more years of experience in Project Controls/Commercial Management.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 50% required.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s license.
• Understanding of Safety and OSHA requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
• Strong decision-making and reporting skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills required.
• Intermediate experience with job costing or accounting software.
