Senior DevOps Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for providing support to external customers and internal departments, managing operation tools, ensuring monitoring, and maintaining cloud systems.

In Short

• Act as a central point of contact for customer and internal inquiries.
• Responsible for 1st-level support for internal teams.
• Manage and administer operation tools (e.g., Sentry, CheckMK, GitLab).
• Ensure and continuously develop monitoring via CheckMK.
• Maintain and develop Proxmox and Azure systems.
• Oversee on-premises and company network (routing, port forwarding, VLAN management, VPNs).
• Administer permissions and implement automated concepts.
• Design and implement improvements regarding network structure and security.
• Adjust and develop GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain and optimize AWX playbooks (Ansible).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Administer permissions (Entra ID / Azure AD, third-party applications) and implement automated role and permission concepts.
• Develop and maintain deployment solutions for Azure Cloud.
• Dockerize and maintain applications.
• Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure optimal deployment processes.

Requirements

• Solid experience with Azure and/or AWS services.
• Comprehensive knowledge in routing, VLAN, VPN, and DNS.
• Proficient in Linux and Bash programming.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Strong knowledge in Docker and container orchestration.
• Fluent in German and good English skills.
