Legal Counsel - Remote

Overview

Renew Home is seeking a Legal Counsel to join our growing legal team, providing sound, practical and actionable legal advice in support of our mission to change how we power the world.

In Short

• Remote position with some domestic travel required.
• Prepare, review, negotiate and advise on commercial agreements.
• Support partnerships with regulated electric utilities.
• Advise on legal, regulatory, and compliance aspects of product development.
• Provide guidance on intellectual property and data privacy issues.
• Identify legal and business risks in contracts.
• Manage outside counsel and corporate housekeeping.
• Work with minimal supervision across departments.
• Act as a key member of the legal team reporting to the CLO.
• Support compliance and transactional matters.

Requirements

• Experience in commercial and product counseling.
• Strong understanding of SaaS and procurement agreements.
• Ability to provide business-focused legal advice.
• Experience in risk identification and mitigation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work across various departments and functions.
