Legal Counsel - Remote

Overview

The Legal Counsel provides comprehensive legal support across the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while mitigating risk.

In Short

• Draft and review contracts ranging from services agreements to employment contracts
• Assisting in ensuring global compliance with intellectual property transfer agreements and related mechanisms.
• Providing accurate, relevant, and timely advice on legal topics (e.g., fintech, labor laws, corporate matters, etc.).
• Review and negotiate client and vendor agreements, supporting internal compliance efforts.
• Handle and assist with a variety of other issues and projects as they arise.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a practicing attorney, with at least 2 years in-house or advising corporate clients.
• Qualified to practice in Brazil.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and commercial transactions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to balance legal risks with business objectives in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Experience in a global or multi-jurisdictional environment is a plus.
• High ethical standards and sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information.
