Managing Counsel, Product - Remote

We are looking for a talented and eager lawyer, who is interested in helping with our team’s mission, namely: to deliver pragmatic and innovative legal solutions for Remote’s products and stakeholders, while protecting Remote from unacceptable risk.

In Short

• Lead AI and HRIS product compliance, partnering with Product, Engineering, Security and the Privacy team.
• Embed a risk-based legal review into product development workflows.
• Own product T&Cs for HRIS and AI features.
• Stand up core Product AI governance.
• Own HRIS and AI product counseling end-to-end.
• Draft and negotiate product terms and AI-specific clauses.
• Proactively monitor new AI and tech regulations.
• Manage external counsel on complex issues.
• Deliver targeted enablement.
• Partner with Privacy & Security on DPIAs/TIAs.

Requirements

• Qualified Lawyer with extensive experience on Product counseling.
• Product Counsel Experience in technology.
• Strong command of emerging AI frameworks.
• In-house Experience preferred.
• Startup Experience is a bonus.
• Passionate about tech and HR tech products.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Tech-savvy with tools like Slack, Juro, Notion, Google Drive.
• Experience working remotely is a plus.
