Commercial Painting Estimator - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Commercial Painting Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in reading blueprints, performing takeoffs, and estimating painting jobs for both commercial and residential projects. A background in architecture or construction is highly preferred, as this role requires a strong understanding of project scope, materials, and labor costs.

In Short

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial and residential painting projects, primarily commercial.
• Review and interpret blueprints, architectural plans, and project specifications to assess painting requirements.
• Determine labor, material, and equipment costs for each job.
• Communicate with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to obtain necessary job details.
• Maintain accurate documentation of estimates, project costs, and proposals.
• Assist in job tracking and cost analysis to improve estimating accuracy over time.
• Prior experience in estimating painting projects, construction estimating, or quantity takeoffs.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural plans.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and team collaboration.

Requirements

• Prior experience in estimating painting projects, construction estimating, or quantity takeoffs.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural plans.
• Background in architecture, construction (preferred).
• Proficiency in estimating software (BIM360) and Microsoft Excel (preferred).
• Excellent analytical and math skills for accurate calculations.
• Ability to work independently and meet bid deadlines.
