Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to oversee and manage the full financial operations of a growing service-based construction company. This role goes beyond traditional bookkeeping and focuses on financial oversight, system integration, cash flow stabilization, and forward-looking reporting.

In Short

• Oversee full-cycle accounting including Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), and general ledger management.
• Prepare and review monthly and ongoing financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Ensure accurate bank and credit card reconciliations in QuickBooks Online.
• Manage invoicing and inventory workflows between ServiceTitan and QuickBooks Online.
• Monitor and help stabilize cash flow, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare and manage budgets, including tracking actuals versus projections.
• Provide financial insights to support pricing, operations, and sales decisions.
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to improve accounting processes.
• Support audits, reviews, or external CPA coordination as needed.

Requirements

• Active CPA license (required).
• Proven experience in construction, trades, or service-based businesses.
• Strong hands-on experience with ServiceTitan (strongly preferred).
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
• Solid understanding of job costing, inventory, and trade-based accounting.
• Experience managing budgets, cash flow, and financial reporting.
• Comfortable working within a Remote Desktop environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and advise ownership with confidence.
