Tax Analyst - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Analyst to join our growing tax team, focusing on ensuring tax compliance for our company across multiple jurisdictions.

In Short

• Prepare and file accurate and timely sales & use tax, income tax, and other indirect tax returns.
• Analyze and reconcile tax accounts and ensure accurate tax reporting on financial statements.
• Maintain compliance with all tax deadlines and reporting requirements.
• Serve as a point of contact for external audits and tax authority inquiries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tax-efficient processes and compliance.
• Support the implementation and optimization of tax compliance software.
• Leverage tax automation tools and data analytics to drive operational efficiency.
• Maintain internal controls to enhance tax reporting efficiency.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in tax compliance, preferably in a retail or multi-state environment.
• Strong understanding of sales & use tax and state/local tax regulations.
• Experience with tax software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Infor, Vertex, Avalara).
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
