The Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our global team. In this role, you will work on Red Hat OpenShift, which is enterprise Kubernetes, as part of a team that develops and operates Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated, a public cloud service based on Red Hat OpenShift for large enterprise customers.

In Short

Design and write automation software for Red Hat OpenShift clusters.
Identify and resolve architecture issues for resilience.
Participate in release cycles and deploy code to various environments.
Perform software updates and security threat responses.
Interact with monitoring infrastructure for healthy environments.
Provide engineering support to resolve customer issues.
Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Participate in a global on-call rotation.

Requirements

3+ years of software engineering experience in object-oriented languages.
Experience managing Linux-based systems in public cloud environments.
Commercial experience with enterprise system monitoring.
Knowledge of container technology and configuration management tools.
Ability to troubleshoot systems issues effectively.
Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.
