Senior Technical Business Analyst - Remote

Overview

Rectangle Health is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our growing product team and help define the future of healthcare payments. In this role, you’ll work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and subject matter experts to translate complex business needs into well-documented technical requirements.

In Short

• Partner with Product Managers to elicit, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for new platform functionality.
• Participate in requirements gathering sessions with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Write clear, concise user stories, workflows, data mappings, and API specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering to review and refine technical implementation details.
• Help define acceptance criteria and participate in sprint planning.
• Maintain and organize documentation to support development and user enablement.
• Ensure traceability from business needs to system requirements.
• Support UAT, triage issues, and ensure proper handoffs to delivery teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Analyst in a software development environment.
• Strong technical fluency — understanding APIs, data flows, and system interactions.
• Demonstrated success working on API-related projects.
• Experience in healthcare or fintech preferred.
• Excellent communication skills between business and technical audiences.
• Comfortable working remotely with distributed teams.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and Jira/Confluence.
