Engineering Manager - Remote

Overview

The Engineering Manager will lead our engineering team in the development and execution of all commercial and utility-scale solar projects. This role involves managing a team of engineers and overseeing end-to-end technical design, engineering, procurement and construction processes.

• Conduct performance assessments to provide feedback and promote individual growth.
• Collaborate with the Vice President, EPC to manage resource allocation.
• Oversee daily team workflows and deliver targeted training initiatives.
• Analyze site parameters and conduct shading analysis for optimal system design.
• Lead the engineering team in creating permit/construction drawing sets.
• Manage relationships with third-party engineering firms.
• Provide technical supervision to contractors during system installations.
• Coordinate technical reviews and secure permit approvals.
• Stay updated on advancements in PV modules and energy storage technologies.
• Travel required up to 20%.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil).
• 7+ years of experience in engineering in the renewables industry.
• Expertise in solar plant equipment and NEC codes.
• NABCEP, PV Installation Professional Certification a plus.
• Proficiency with PVSyst, AutoCAD, and other relevant software.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship.
