Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) - Remote

Overview

RAPP Chicago is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our award-winning Technology team, focusing on testing UI, APIs, and databases.

In Short

• Create, execute and maintain automated test scripts for functional, database, API and performance testing needs.
• Stay current with Quality engineering industry trends and identify new tools to introduce into automation tech stack.
• Develop automation guidelines and script maintenance instructions.
• Develop test data generation guidelines based on CRUD principles.
• Ensure all test automation standards are followed by the team.
• Communicate project automation test results with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area.
• 2+ years of experience with Java and Python.
• Experience in writing and executing automated test scripts.
• Experience in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress.io, Playwright, Karate.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience in unit testing frameworks like Junit, TestNG, NUnit, Mocha, Jasmine.
• Hands-on knowledge of database testing, SQL/NoSQL.
• Expertise with Test automation of REST API services.
• Proficient in version control tools like Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of assertion libraries.
