Overview

The Senior Field Service Engineer at Rapid Micro Biosystems is responsible for installing and maintaining Growth Direct systems, ensuring customer satisfaction through advanced problem-solving and communication skills.

• Install and maintain Growth Direct systems at customer sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities consistently.
• Provide reliable emergency repairs as per service contracts.

• Mentor and develop junior Field Service Engineers.
• Travel frequently for client site visits.

Requirements

• Experience with mechanical systems and software-controlled instruments.
• Knowledge of ISO and GMP environments in life sciences.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Professional knowledge of English (JLPT N2 or higher).
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and work extended hours on-site.
• Willingness to travel on short notice.
• Minimum education: KōtōSenmonGakkō (Kosen) in mechatronics or equivalent military experience.
