Overview

The Oregon Department of Corrections is seeking a SPOTS Card Coordinator, Accountant 1, responsible for managing technical accounting work related to expenditure activities through the SPOTS card process.

In Short

  • Perform technical accounting work related to SPOTS card expenditure activity.
  • Review and code transactions and perform reconciliations.
  • Prepare schedules or analyses for year-end reporting.
  • Maintain cardholder information in the bank’s web-based system.
  • Provide training and support to cardholders.
  • Collaborate with agency leadership for program changes.
  • Strong knowledge of financial policies and procedures required.
  • Must be a current employee of ODOC, BOPPPS, or OCE to apply.
  • Position is hybrid with office attendance as necessary.
  • Salary range is $5,349 - $7,736 per month.

Requirements

  • Possession of CPA or equivalent accounting degree.
  • Two years of technical, para-professional accounting experience.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in developing training programs.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate with leadership.
  • Must pass a background check.
