Overview

The Business Development Director (BDD) is responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with strategically important customers within the Space industry, focusing on revenue growth and new business opportunities.

In Short

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for the space segment.
  • Identify new customers and markets aligned with technical capabilities.
  • Exceed targets for sales volume and strategic objectives.
  • Develop relationships with targeted partners and business leaders.
  • Manage CRM EDGE (Salesforce) for new business opportunities.
  • Stay informed on industry changes and improve sales techniques.
  • Analyze customers, competitors, and product performance.
  • Coordinate with engineering to align product roadmap with customer needs.
  • Draft marketing materials and coordinate trade show participation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM preferred.
  • Must obtain a Security Clearance.
  • 5 years of experience in customer-facing engagements.
  • Experience with complex Space systems and markets.
  • History of generating new business revenue.
  • Up to 60% travel required.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent public speaking and negotiation skills.
  • Good understanding of management practices.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
