Overview

The Clinical Reimbursement Specialist identifies problems and areas of risk and opportunity surrounding clients' RAI process for the purpose of client satisfaction and retention. The Clinical Reimbursement Specialist reports to the Director of Clinical Reimbursement Operations.

In Short

  • Completes Preliminary Audit Form to set goals for client success within the first week of partnership
  • Completes monthly client report and ensures value contribution with distribution by the 20th of each month
  • Schedules and coordinates Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Ensures accuracy and relevancy of content for Quarterly Business Review meetings
  • Reviews records and data for accuracy, completion, and compliance
  • Identifies and follows through on all audit results
  • Participates in weekly team meetings and leads 1:1 meetings with MDS Coordinators
  • Engages with clients to solicit feedback on performance
  • Evaluates and assesses personal performance routinely

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with active compact license preferred, or Licensed Vocational Nurse with 5+ years experience may be considered
  • RAC-CT preferred
  • Prior experience in clinical reimbursement/MDS
  • Proficiency in federal and state reimbursement and quality programs
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proactive written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work remotely and autonomously
  • Proficiency with EMR and Microsoft Office
