Security Officer - Remote

Overview

As our Security Officer, you will be the strategic lead and technical executor of our security posture, bridging the gap between compliance and engineering to evolve our security culture.

In Short

• Own and prioritize the Security Backlog, translating compliance needs into actionable requirements.
• Lead and evolve the Security Champions program, mentoring engineers for internal security reviews.
• Conduct formal Architectural Risk Assessments on critical components.
• Maintain 'always-audit-ready' status for SOC 2, GDPR, and other compliance requirements.
• Oversee security posture management across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Manage the bi-annual penetration testing lifecycle and coordinate with external researchers.
• Act as the subject matter expert for customers regarding security questionnaires.

Requirements

• 5+ years in Security Engineering, DevSecOps, or as a Security Officer in a cloud-native SaaS environment.
• Technical knowledge of AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Experience maintaining SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, and GDPR.
• Ability to perform threat modeling and architectural risk classification.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to investigate code for informed security responses.
