Security Officer - Remote

Overview

The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the Midtown Plaza Mall premises by patrolling the area, monitoring access, and responding to alarms and disturbances.

In Short

• Patrol interior and exterior premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion.
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of individuals.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities.
• Notify Security Director in emergencies.
• Circulate among visitors and employees to preserve order.
• Inspect and adjust security systems and equipment.
• Assist with severe weather activities.
• Maintain effective working relationships.
• Exercise a high degree of integrity and ethics.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of prior security experience.
• CPR Certified.
• Knowledge of security laws and regulations.
• Ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to establish effective relationships.
• Must exercise integrity and ethics.
