Software Engineer II, Progress 4GL - Remote

Overview

We are a virtual first company and your primary work experience will be virtual / working from your home. Occasional travel to a physical office may be required to enhance working relationships, collaboration, design, strategy and alignment.

In Short

• Examine and fix assigned customer incidents related to QAD core products post-training.
• Translate high-level business analysis into physical code while maintaining quality standards.
• Write Unit and System test plans/specifications and perform testing.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure conformance to quality standards.
• Analyze, design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and debug enhancements to the product.
• Participate in Patch Release activities.

Requirements

• A University or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Progress 4GL, Open Edge.
• Experience with ERP systems like QAD, SAP, Oracle ERP, or Ms Dynamics 365 is preferred.
• Working knowledge of QAD technology, platform, and language stack.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies.
