Assistant Actuary - Actuarial Support (PAS3) - Remote

Overview

ProSidian seeks an Assistant Actuary - Actuarial Support (PAS3) to support an engagement for a federally chartered corporation that encourages the continuation and maintenance of voluntary private defined benefit pension plans.

In Short

• Support actuarial services for multiemployer special financial assistance.
• Analyze financial consequences of risk using statistics and financial theories.
• Estimate probabilities of business decisions and project costs of potential risks.
• Generate reports and present findings to clients.
• Review and validate pension plan data and calculations.
• Provide coaching to junior staff and contribute to proposal development.
• Work with advanced analytics tools to assess organizational risk.
• Participate in the development of standard procedures for financial assistance.
• Monitor compliance of plans receiving financial assistance.
• Engage in special projects related to pension plans and legislation analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of pension experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical modeling software.
• Experience with pension plan calculations and data validation.
• Actuarial credentials such as EA, ASA, or FSA preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain necessary security clearance.
• Experience with Python and financial analysis tools is a plus.
