Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Resource RN for our Surgical Short Stay Unit for a Full Time, evening shift position in Charlottesville, VA. The Resource Nurse plays a critical role in ensuring efficient patient flow and continuity of care within the hospital.

In Short

• Full Time evening shift position from 3p to 11p, Monday to Friday.
• Role involves coordinating admissions, discharges, and transitions of care.
• Assists nursing staff in an inpatient setting.
• Monitors and manages transitions of care for patients.
• Works in a 24-bed unit dedicated to short stay patients.
• Requires a Registered Nursing License and BLS certification.

Requirements

• Education Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required).
• Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred).
• 2 years of acute experience preferred.
• Critical Care experience preferred.
• 1 year of patient admit and discharge experience preferred.
• Registered nursing License (Required).
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
