Overview

The MRI Technologist performs general MRI examinations while ensuring the safety and integrity of the MRI operational area for all individuals. This role requires maintaining inventory, explaining procedures to patients, and completing necessary documentation.

In Short

  • Perform quality MRI imaging under physician direction.
  • Administer MRI contrast as per protocol.
  • Evaluate patient MRI safety screening forms.
  • Maintain patient records and departmental documentation.
  • Act as a liaison with physicians and supportive personnel.
  • Review imaging for accuracy before interpretation.
  • Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within 2 years.
  • Preferred competency in intravenous (IV) procedures.
  • Requires 1 year of Radiologic tech experience.
  • Work primarily on weekend nights.

Requirements

  • Education in Radiologic Sciences or equivalent.
  • ARRT or MR certification required.
  • Experience in MRI technology and patient care.
  • Knowledge of MRI safety zones and regulations.
  • Ability to manage patient records efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills for patient interaction.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
  • Flexibility to work weekend shifts.
