Controller (US GAAP) — Build & Own Finance Systems - Remote

Overview

This role is for a finance leader who can own the full finance function, bring order to complexity, and build systems that make the business audit-ready at all times.

In Short

• Own full-cycle accounting including AP, AR, payroll coordination, and month-end close.
• Ensure GAAP-compliant financials with strong documentation.
• Build and enforce internal controls and processes.
• Deliver financial statements with commentary and variance analysis.
• Optimize finance tools and reduce manual work through automation.
• Manage cash forecasts and budgets.
• Coordinate tax packages and filings with external CPAs.
• Manage vendor onboarding and compliance.
• Help build and lead a finance team as the company scales.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on growth.

Requirements

• Proven ownership of full-cycle accounting and month-end close.
• Strong command of US GAAP fundamentals.
• Experience building controls and scalable finance processes.
• Strong financial reporting skills.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and modern finance systems.
• High integrity and comfort handling sensitive information.
• Proactive problem-solving skills.
• Excellent English communication skills.
