Controller (Finance) - Remote

Overview

Bark is looking for a hands-on Controller to manage the accounting engine, ensuring compliance with GAAP and delivering timely financial reports.

In Short

• Manage month-end close processes and ensure accuracy.
• Handle revenue recognition for SaaS and hardware.
• Oversee inventory accounting and cost management.
• Manage customer financing accounting.
• Develop and implement policies and controls.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage tax compliance.
• Supervise accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Own the structure of QuickBooks Online and drive automation.

Requirements

• 8-12+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong experience with ASC 606 and SaaS accounting.
• Hands-on experience with debt facilities and convertible notes.
• Understanding of stock-based compensation.
• Real inventory and cost accounting expertise.
• Audit-ready mindset with experience working with auditors.
• Ability to build effective controls and improve close processes.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel.
• Strong communication and process-building skills.
