Overview

The Payroll & Benefits Specialist supports the accurate, timely, and compliant execution of payroll, employee benefits, and related filings for our multi-state healthcare organization.

In Short

• Remote, part-time role (15–20 hrs/week).
• Focus on payroll processing and tax compliance.
• Administer employee benefits programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Support executive and leadership administrative needs.
• Work with Paylocity and other HRIS platforms.
• Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
• Collaborate with finance on payroll funding and reporting.
• Provide exceptional attention to detail and discretion.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of payroll and benefits experience.
• Hands-on experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS.
• Knowledge of multi-state payroll tax compliance.
• Experience with employee benefits administration.
• Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
• Familiarity with compliance filings and audits.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Preferred certifications: CPP, PHR, SHRM-CP.
• Experience in healthcare or multi-site organizations is a plus.
