Head of Design - Remote

Overview

As Head of Design at Prepared, you will guide and grow a multidisciplinary team working across product design, visual design, and user experience. This is a player-coach role: you’ll lead the team while remaining hands-on in the work.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in product design with 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in scaling and leading design teams.
• Deep expertise in product UX and visual design systems.
• Ability to define long-term vision and critique design details.
• Comfortable contributing hands-on when necessary.
• Experience in high-performance environments (startup/scaleup preferred).
• Passion for mentoring and developing designers.
• Strong understanding of user needs and business impact.
• Experience with tools for critical services is a plus.
• Familiarity with design constraints in high-stakes environments.
