Overview

The Associate Managing Editor is responsible for a range of editorial services, including leading the editorial work for assigned accounts, which entails medical editing, fact checking, preparing submissions of pharmaceutical marketing materials, and reviewing internal and client changes. The Associate Managing Editor must be able to prioritize multiple deadline-sensitive projects, take ownership and work independently, have a keen attention to detail, and must have strong verbal and written skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of medical editing experience.
  • 0-2 years of management experience.
  • Proficiency in AMA style (11th edition).
  • Knowledge of FDA requirements for pharmaceutical advertising.
  • Strong skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Detail-oriented and team-focused.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
