Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Plum, you will join the Infrastructure squad to ensure that Plum’s systems are resilient, secure, scalable, observable, and fully capable to support our growth.

In Short

• Operate, secure, and scale infrastructure on GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis.
• Automate systems using infrastructure management tools like Terraform.
• Ensure accurate system performance metrics with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Build and maintain SLIs and SLOs for infrastructure.
• Optimize CI/CD infrastructure with tools like Github Actions and CircleCI.
• Lead incident response and troubleshoot system issues.
• Collaborate with Engineering squads on Standard Operating Procedures.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in SRE functions.
• Work with a passionate team to grow Plum’s mission.
• Support engineering workflows and developer productivity.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in managing cloud infrastructure with Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes administration.
• Experience in observability tools and practices.
• Strong scripting and automation skills.
• Experience with Python and navigating large codebases.
• Familiarity with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Proactive problem-solving attitude.
• Passion for continuous improvement and developer productivity.
