Automation Tester - Remote

Overview

The Department of Industry, Science and Resources is seeking experienced Automation Testers to assist with various ICT Projects, focusing on building a better future for Australians through innovative and sustainable economic strategies.

In Short

• Initial contract duration of 12 months with possible extensions.
• Work within multi-disciplinary teams on ICT projects.
• Create and oversee test plans and strategies using Azure DevOps.
• Write, review, and execute test cases for web-based applications.
• Engage with stakeholders throughout the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Conduct testing for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) conformance.
• Log and track defects using departmental tools.
• Provide input into testing strategies and automation practices.
• Must be able to obtain Baseline security clearance.

Requirements

• Experience in automated testing and application/system tester roles.
• Expertise in developing test artefacts and strategies.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Thorough knowledge of WCAG conformance.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders.
