Overview

Picarro is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Sales Representative to join our growing sales team. This role is an excellent opportunity to learn the ins and outs of sales while building a pathway toward becoming a full-fledged Sales Representative. Initially the role will be that of an Inside Sales Rep and you will be responsible for managing quotes, legal documents, and tactical sales processes to support the team’s success. The position offers exposure to client interactions, CRM systems, and the sales cycle from start to finish. Ultimately the goal would be to transition to an Outside Sales role. Note that this is not an entry level position. In Short

  • Generate and manage customer quotes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate legal document reviews with our legal counsel to facilitate sales transactions.
  • Provide exceptional transactional support to Sales Managers by owning the tactical aspects of the sales process.
  • Utilize CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite) to track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
  • Develop Excel-based reports and analyses to support the sales team’s goals.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships, ensuring they feel supported and valued.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and legal teams to complete contracts and agreements.
  • Assist in scheduling and planning client visits, with opportunities to own your own customer accounts over time.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets related to quotes, customer response times, and overall sales support.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures to ensure compliance throughout the sales process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in inside sales or a similar tactical, transactional role is essential to this role. Experience working for an instrumentation company would be a plus.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms such as Salesforce or NetSuite is essential.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Excel (e.g., pivot tables, data analysis) and MS Office Suite is essential.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • A desire to learn and grow into an Outside Sales Representative role, with eventual ownership of customer accounts.
  • Willingness to visit clients occasionally as part of career development (as needed) and participate at periodic tradeshow events.
