Maintenance Mechanic - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for a dedicated and driven Maintenance Mechanic who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are highly motivated, adaptable, and ready to support facility operations while participating in an on-call rotation. The successful candidate will bring hands-on experience with production equipment, pumps, chillers, air handlers, boilers, and general facility maintenance.

In Short

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair tasks across the Fort Dodge site.
• Manage and execute regular inspections and maintenance schedules for machinery.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and carry out repairs directly or through coordination with external vendors.
• Adhere to safety protocols, company SOPs, and best practices at all times.
• Efficiently complete and document work orders.
• Prioritize tasks and plan daily workload to maximize efficiency.
• Monitor and manage spare parts and supply inventory.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors and contractors when required.
• Process payments related to vendor services.
• Provide support to MSaTs for maintaining environmental control systems.

Requirements

• Completion of a two-year technical program from a vocational school or community college, or at least five years of relevant work experience.
• Solid knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations.
• Strong communication, organization, and written skills.
• Familiarity with factory operations and production technologies.
• Basic proficiency in electrical systems.
• Broad mechanical knowledge, including systems for gas, electrical, water, cooling, and production equipment.
• Competency in Microsoft Office applications, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), and general maintenance software.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently.
